The Most Wonderful Time of The Year!!
This phrase is used a lot, but the holiday season probably is the most wonderful time of the year no matter what your religion. It’s the time of year we spend with family and friends - some of whom we haven’t seen since last year. We do the same things year after year like singing carols, decorating the house, buying presents and planning the big dinner. You would think that we wouldn’t find them special as we do the same things year after year, but every year they seem more and more special.
Christmas and the Holidays are special for all ages in different ways. Christmas will never be as exciting as when you were a child, but it will still be such a special time of year for all ages. So, I hope you enjoy this special time of year as much as you have in the past, if not more.
All of us at FlexCare Health Staffing want to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. Wherever you spend this holiday may you be safe and happy.
We look forward to working together in 2011.

Hiring New Staff This Year??
Many organizations, whether public or private, have had a few rather difficult years and are very reluctant to bring on new staff even if they might be needed.
Many organizations participated in rather dramatic cost reductions which included the laying off of staff and decreasing fixed costs. Many organizations are becoming more active, but with all the negative doom and gloom promoted by the media, some are still not sure that the recovery has legs and that better economic conditions will be lasting.
For this reason, many organizations are bringing on temporary or contract staff to handle their needs! This can relate to medical and dental staff, office staff and any outside personnel they might employ. They just do not feel like making these positions permanent as there are rather significant costs associated with the hiring and lying off of full time staff! Sometimes their budgets just do not allow the addition of full time personnel.
Temporary or contract staff do not have the same costs associated and give companies the flexibility to vary their costs. People can be hired on a part-time basis either directly or through a company such as FlexCare. You only pay for the time spent on the job!!
Should activity indicate it has staying power, these individuals can then be hired on permanently should you feel they are appropriate candidates for your organization in the long term. The advantage with hiring this way is that you have seen them on the job. You know their attitude, their ability to get along with others, their willingness to take direction and basically their worth to your organization. What a great way to hire considering that hiring full time staff is such a gamble. Your organization is now their best reference and your employees and management can vouch for their ability. Consider their temporary time as their probationary time. If an individual is not working out, you can call and ask for a replacement without worrying about the severance implications. Let FlexCare worry about all that!
Give all of this consideration. Also consider that generally with a staffing agency, there is a “temp-to-perm” period after which you can take an individual on full time for no additional cost.
Many organizations have found this a great way to hire full time staff in or out of union environments and you have to know this is a fantastic time to hire coming out of such an economic downturn.
Give FlexCare a call to discuss all of your personnel needs whether temporary, contract or full time!! Many of you are clients already and we appreciate our association. Those of you who are not working with us, give us a call. Let FlexCare be your supplier of people.

NATIONAL STAFFING WEEK, June 7 – 11, 2010
NATIONAL STAFFING WEEK, June 7 – 11, 2010
FlexCare Health Staffing, has just finished celebrating National Staffing Week (June 7 – 11, 2010). The week originated by the Association of Canadian Search, Employment, and Staffing Services (ACSESS) and involved many events organized by staffing companies and local ACSESS chapters to raise money for their local charities. The main focus of the week is to recognize the significant contribution the personnel industry has made to organizations in Canada. Staffing companies provide many services to the industry including; recruitment, temporary staffing, permanent placement, payroll services, benefits administration and more. The personnel and staffing industry provides many thousands of jobs directly and many more indirectly. Staffing companies such as FlexCare help many Canadians find jobs whether full or part-time.
We have included letters from Stephen Harper, Canada’s Prime Minister, in which he acknowledges the contribution our industry has made to the Canadian economy and a letter from Dalton McGuinty, Ontario’s Premier, in which he recognizes the personnel and staffing industry and how it plays a vital role to Ontario organizations.
FlexCare Health Staffing, has been a major participant in this industry in Canada and has worked with many of the leading organizations whether business, government or charities. It has played an active role in ACSESS at the local level and participates in many of their support programs. ACSESS ensures that all its members maintain the highest of standards. Not every staffing company supplying personnel is a member but they should be and it’s important for organizations to work with ACSESS member companies.
We know that all of you work with companies in our industry in some way or another and we hope you will continue using FlexCare Health Staffing or consider us for your future staffing needs!!
FlexCare thanks all our clients for their support!!
